More color, please…
Accountability post! It’s really inspiring for me to be as consistent in documenting my progress on these four paintings as I’ve been doing lately. More updates soon.
Number four in progress
It’s been a very productive time in the last month for me working at the easel. These four seascapes have been in in limbo for over a year now with my schedule so it has been very inspiring to get all four fleshed out in paint. New work schedule starts today so it may be…
Rainy day progress
This painting is actually the first one I started in this four piece series of big beach sunrise views. Nice to see a little color added, and eager to see how it pops with some yellows and oranges. Soon.
Three of four
I put the seascape in my last post aside to get the foundation laid for this third view of Port Orange, morning views. I might have the time to get the fourth started tonight.
Labor Day painting process
Getting back to laying out this painting of another morning beach view. Umber washes for now, but I hope soon I’ll be fleshing out with color. I got excited after my initial post and added a bit of color.

I have been extremely inconsistent with my painting and my posting. Yet here I am again, wiping the dust off and posting more entries here. Not having coffee…
Portrait Study – Kennedy

We, my sister and her children/grandchildren, were on a vacation in Florida and I was irritating all of them with my constant “hold still now” moments. I liked this one and decided it needed to be painted. Makes me think of boogie-boards…
Two seascapes back on the easel
I started these two back in 2018 and they’ve been squirreled away until a couple of weeks ago when I dug them out while going through the inventory of “still need work” piles. They’re still works in progress but it’s nice working on them as they bring back memories of salty breezes and warm weather.
David and Jaxon
Slowly getting back to paintings that have been languishing unfinished for too long and this is one of them.
