I’m still working on the four seascapes that I’ve been posting here but decided to try my hand at acrylics again. This little five by seven painting is a shot of my nephew doing tricks on his scooter at a skate park in Florida. I count myself lucky to have taken some nice reference photos of him as I don’t usually like my camera skills ( largely due to a lack of good timing ). I’m actually much more pleased with my results on this study than I thought I would be. The very quick drying time of acrylic paint made me a bit nervous although it’s also the quality I was excited about in the first place. I might be hooked…
