I’m no writer, that’s for sure! At least that’s what I believe as I sit at my keyboard trying to come up with informative and interesting content. I have been extremely inconsistent with my painting and my posting. Yet here I am again, wiping the dust off and posting more entries here. Not having coffeeContinue reading “Two Portraits – still fussing”

Portrait Study – Kennedy
It’s been quite a while since I took this photo of my grand-niece. We, my sister and her children/grandchildren, were on a vacation in Florida and I was irritating all of them with my constant “hold still now” moments. I liked this one and decided it needed to be painted. Makes me think of boogie-boardsContinue reading “Portrait Study – Kennedy”
David and Jaxon
Slowly getting back to paintings that have been languishing unfinished for too long and this is one of them.
Three completed
I finally wrapped up these three commissions and it’s a bit of a bittersweet event. Still, I’m glad the owners are happy and new works are on the horizon.
Fresh paint on seven

2021 and three new layouts
The new year has rolled around and I’ve had the opportunity to start three new paintings to add to the list of work in progress. Also, I’ve worked a bit more on the “Nickoli Boys” which is the featured image of this post. I’m planning to have a couple new painting to add to theContinue reading “2021 and three new layouts”
Making Faces
A big stick in hand and grimacing for the camera, that’s my mother for you. Full of mischief on “picture day” with her sister and grandfather. I couldn’t help myself and fussed with this painting more than the previous paintings in my last post. Even though these are just rough layouts mostly consisting of thinContinue reading “Making Faces”
New beginnings in 2020!
My son visited over the holiday weekend and it was wonderful to see him as it always is. I cherish the time I have to spend with him now, more focus and less distraction in my mind. I remember and miss my little boy but am proud to see the young man he’s become andContinue reading “New beginnings in 2020!”
