My son visited over the holiday weekend and it was wonderful to see him as it always is. I cherish the time I have to spend with him now, more focus and less distraction in my mind. I remember and miss my little boy but am proud to see the young man he’s become and our relationship is my privilege. Moments like these bring me back to what is truly valuable of which I am grateful. The last couple of years have been quite an adventure with moving from state to state, job to job, flip-flops to snow boots. A vagabond tumbleweed! Not a bad or good time, just a rudderless course to my limited vision and I’ve stumbled around a lot in an effort to get my sea legs under me.

So with all the stormy seas of change and my return to Georgia behind me, I’ve tip-toed back into working in oils on a documentation process of family members. These upcoming images are monochromatic portraits of previous generations with some younger generation portraits soon to follow.
